Elina, a master tutor, holds a Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree from Brandeis University. With over a decade of teaching experience and a true passion for helping students succeed, she specializes in guiding students to reach their full potential in math. Currently, Elina teaches high school math at Passaic Valley High School and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Montclair State University. She has experience working with students of all levels, from middle school to high school, and loves providing personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions to help students overcome challenges and gain confidence in their abilities. In addition to her teaching roles, Elina has coached students for the Math Kangaroo Competition, helping kids from grades 1 through 12 sharpen their skills and excel. She also had the chance to work as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania and as a Peer Tutor at Brandeis University, experiences that deepened her understanding of how to connect with students and support their learning. Elina’s approach to tutoring is all about understanding each student’s unique needs and creating a comfortable, encouraging space for them to grow. She focuses on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and making sure students truly grasp key concepts. Whether a student is preparing for a competition or just trying to get through their assignments, Elina is committed to making math more enjoyable and helping each student succeed.
