Cheryl, a master tutor, is highly experienced with a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Boston University and a Master's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. She has been tutoring English to Middle and High School students for the past ten years. She focuses on Writing, Reading Comprehension, Study Skills, Grammar and SAT/ACT preparation. Prior to her work as a tutor, Cheryl taught English at Livingston High School. She has also worked as a writer and editor for many years. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys practicing yoga and walking her golden retriever, Jake.

Master Educators are our most experienced teachers, with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. Expert tutors are talented tutors who are either certified teachers with less than 5 years experience, are experts in their field, or are gifted at teaching certain subject areas.

Our Master tutors are professional experienced teachers with subject matter experience and a minimum of 5 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Our Expert tutors are seasoned tutors with subject matter experience and a minimum of 3 years of teaching/tutoring experience. Each tutor undergoes an extensive internal screening process including a thorough background check, demo lesson and content knowledge quizzes.

Our tutors conduct home visits throughout Northern New Jersey with our office based out of Livingston, New Jersey. When you select Teacher Tutors you can be confident that you are not signing up with an impersonal large chain.
