Peter, a master tutor, had an award winning 25 year career in education receiving such accolades as the 2001 Albert H. Jones Elementary Teacher of the Year, the 2006 READING Assist Educator Of The Year, and as the principal of Lancashire Elementary, leading his school to earning Title I National Blue Ribbon School status in 2007. Peter performed in many exciting roles during those 25 years, including 13 years as a teacher, 3 as an Assistant Principal and 9 as a Principal. During this time he formed his belief that, with the collaboration of school, home and community, every child has the ability to learn, grow and be successful. He adopted the philosophy that, “if you do not learn the way I teach, I will teach the way you learn.” Finally, he realized that the principles of equity must always be upheld, with the understanding that equity does not mean equal, but that each child is entitled to an individualized program designed to meet their specific needs, levels and abilities, making it possible for them to exceed expectations. As an instructional leader, Peter took pride in becoming both knowledgeable and proficient in all current best practices. He saw it as his responsibility to lead professional development, as well as to supervise, model and coach teachers and staff, so that successful adoption of programs and approaches were achieved. Peter then moved on to serve as an Educational Consultant, Teacher/Mentor, and Instructor with Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes in Morristown, NJ. There he served students with various intellectual, behavioral and emotional challenges. Through targeted instruction, coupled with a sincere and trusting connection, Peter often witnessed the pure joy of a child when he/she realizes how talented and gifted they truly are. He hopes to bring the same success for your child and lead them in finding all the strengths and talents they possess.
