Renée, a master tutor, has a B.A. in Special Education/Elementary Education. is passionate about education, advocacy and rights around immigration, environmental issues and sustainability, LGBTQIA+ rights and education. She is a special education teacher specializing in working with people with autism. She has worked with students from early elementary level up until 8th grade. Her biggest passion is ELA and helping students succeed in reading and writing. Renée has served on the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots College Leadership Council, Madison Environmental Commission, volunteer with Wind of the Spirit Immigrant Resource Center and is an organizer with People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, Center for the Study of White American Culture and Anti-Racist Alliance of North Jersey. She is the co-founder of Mutual Morris, a mutual aid network in Morris County, New Jersey.
