Robert, a master tutor, graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelors in Mathematics and is currently pursuing his Master's degree at Saint Elizabeth University. With five years of classroom experience as a high school Math teacher, he holds certifications in TOSD and k-12 education. Robert's teaching journey encompasses diverse experiences that have shaped his pedagogical approach. He initially worked with special needs students on the autism spectrum with behavioral disabilities, teaching mathematics ranging from basic counting at the elementary level to statistics and algebra at the high school level for four years. During this time, he acquired proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, including conducting discrete trial training, chaining, and tolerance training. He also gained expertise in implementing behavior plans and managing maladaptive behaviors. Through his work, Robert cultivated patience in guiding students and developed skills in explaining concepts visually and succinctly, facilitating direct understanding. His teaching repertoire includes employing systematic methods to teach both functional skills and academic concepts.
