Kim, a master tutor, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and her Masters of Teaching degree from Montclair State University. She holds New Jersey teacher certifications in English (K-12), Students with Disabilities (K-12), and Elementary School Teacher (K-6) licensing. She enjoys teaching students with wide-ranging needs and designs her instruction to support students wherever they are academically so that both their confidence and academic skills are supported. Kim's teaching philosophy is based on the belief that everyone can be a successful learner when provided engaging, supportive, differentiated, resource-rich instruction. She has been teaching for nine years and works with both general and special education students. She designs lessons and instructional materials for her students that provide a logical progression of information which engages and supports the growth of their skills and abilities. When not teaching Kim enjoys reading, biking, baking, spending time with her family, and walking her dog Juno.
